The information that you upload to our secure servers is stored in our state of the art facility which has been designated as a FEMA recovery site. Thus, our programs will never shut down.

Will GuardedID work with Firefox?

Yes, Starting with Release 1.3, GuardedID supports Firefox browser Ver 2 and later.  If you choose to install Firefox after you have already installed GuardedID you must re-run the GuardedID installer.

GuardedID works with Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.

Why do fields change color when I click into them?

The CryptoColor feature changes the background color of a text field to let you know that your keystrokes are being encrypted from the keyboard. The CryptoColor feature was first introduced in GuardedID Version 1.2

I have new computer, how do I move my license to that computer ?

To move the license to that computer, you have to contact GuardedID customer support.

Can I use the software on my other computers?

GuardedID will work only on the computer that it was initially installed. You would need to purchase additional licenses for the other computers.

How do I de-activate GuardedID after it goes in to the Secure mode ?

GuardedID cannot be de-activated after it goes in to Secure mode within the existing window. You would need to open a new browser window.

Will GuardedID protect a USB keyboard plugged into my laptop?

Only one keyboard should be connected when installing GuardedID. If you are installing on a laptop and you use a USB keyboard, make sure the USB keyboard is unplugged before you install GuardedID.  Once GuardedID is installed, it will protect both keyboards.

Will GuardedID work with any keyboard?

GuardedID works with PS/2 keyboards as well as USB keyboards, including wireless keyboards.

If my computer is infected with a keylogger, will Guarded ID protect me?

Yes. GuardedID will protect the keys you type inside your browser, even if your anti-malware programs do not have current signatures. When the GuardedID light is Green and says "ON", GuardedID is protecting your keystrokes from keyloggers.

What is GuardedID?

GuardedID is a program to encrypt/decrypt keys from the keyboard to Internet Explorer so keyloggers can’t steal information.

How do keyloggers work?

Keyloggers work by placing hooks into the Windows message stream thereby enabling them to monitor the keystrokes.

What are the existing methods for detecting keyloggers?

The existing methods for detecting keyloggers fall into one of two categories – (1) Scanning for known keyloggers, and (2) Trying to prevent the keyloggers from hooking into the Windows message stream. Neither method is foolproof, since new keyloggers cannot be detected with the first method and it is difficult to stop keyloggers from hooking into the Windows message stream.

What is difference between GuardedID and other anti-keyloggers?

GuardedID takes an entirely different approach. It encrypts all keystrokes and transfers them to the browser via a proprietary path, bypassing the Windows message stream completely. Thus existing and new keyloggers can’t get their hands on the keystrokes.

Unlike many programs, our Club pays to have professionals to help you with the restoration of your identification as opposed to simply providing over-the-phone directions on what you need to do to get your Identity back. Services are insured and include providing you with information which includes a description of the resolution process, educational articles, and guidance for avoiding future complications; we notify the three major credit bureaus and provide assistance with requesting that a fraud alert be placed on your credit files and affected credit accounts.
